Well everyone guess what I did this last weekend. I went back to Henderson! The weekend was perfect. I flew home on Friday early in the morning & didn't leave until Monday night. I'm starting to settle into life here in Reno, but that doesn't mean that I don't miss that city of lights. I remember my first trip to Reno when I flew home I looked out the window & saw the lights of home. If anyone has ever flew into Vegas at night you know what I'm talking about. It's a sight to be seen that's for sure. Friday morning my best friend Alexis picked me up from the airport with a bright pink sign covered in pictures of us & my name. I was so happy to see her & to be home in general. After that we went to my house & I got to see my pups Lola & Doodle. I can't even tell you how I excited I was to see them. Later in the day I stopped by my dad's work & got to visit with him for awhile & after Alexis took me to LOTUS! Corey & Alexes had invited me to a Halloween party at Nevada State College later that day & I of course wanted to see them both so I got to attend that fun little party. Plus my other bff Cynnamon & the Babelys were there so that was a added bonus! Cyn loved her biggest little city key chain :) The next day my mom woke me up asking me if I wanted to take my grandma's tickets to the UNLV, UNR game & I of course said yes! This was my 3rd year in a row going & it's one of the only football games I care to watch. As soon as the game got over I ran over to Alexes & Cynnamon's for our amazing craft day! Cyn & Alexes had picked 2 crafts off of pinterest so I went with the scrapbook flower on a painted canvas, but the other choice was a cute holiday wreath. Trust me the choice was a tough one! Along with us were Lando, Alexes's dad Lebron Jr aka Phillip & Lauren the baby Bailey. We were definitely crafting up a storm as we were munching on chicken nuggets & Dr. Pepper. Craft time with the Babelys/Morgans was awesome! I wish I could have crafted with them longer, but I had to run off to my uncle's induction into the Nevada wrestling hall of fame. I'm so proud of him! It was so great to see my dad's side of the family. Saturday was definitely a crazy busy day for me, but I'm glad I got to fit so many things into one day. Sunday my awesome mom took me winter clothes shopping/ new suit case shopping since I was in dire need of some real winter clothing & a bigger suitcase. It was great getting to spend time with my mom again. I do talk to her almost every day, but the phone & in person are two very different things. Later in the day my Grandma Corn had invited us to dinner & I got to pick the place. Everyone thought I'd choose Lotus, but everyone was wrong! I picked Macayo's instead :) So my brother Chad, my mom, my grandma, & I made our way to dinner & it was delicious. Getting to spend time with these 3 was awesome since everyone is so busy nowadays. After dinner came the time I was dreading. Goodbyes are not my thing nor do I think they ever will be. Especially when it comes to my brother. I didn't get to see him before I left to Reno so saying goodbye to him this time was hard for me. Right before he let me go from our hug he said "Call me if you need me." That was the end of my holding back the tears. After we dropped off my grandma I got to go spend some time with Corey & Laquan. These 2 are 2 of the greatest guys I know. I can't wait for Corey to come up next week! Monday morning I woke up to my chocolate lab sleeping right next to me. It's things like this that make me miss home so much.I also woke up to one awesome email from Elder Fish! Those 2 things definitely made my morning :) Alexis dropped by my house to say goodbye & that was hard! Hopefully she makes her way up North very soon! Finally 3:30 hit & my grandma was at my house ready to take me to the airport. Saying goodbye to my mom of course brought tears to my eyes, but I just had to keep reminding myself that I'd be back home soon. As my grandma pulled up to the Southwest curb at the airport the tears really started coming. My grandma told me she was so proud of me & she reminded me that I'm following my dream. What an amazing woman! I'm so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. My visit home was perfect & I'm so glad I was able to go. Although if you ever cry at the airport don't wear your sunglasses. I think everyone could tell I was crying. Now I'm back in the North & as I type this I keep staring at my new suitcase that needs unpacking. Unpacking suitcases is something I've always had a strong dislike for, but it definitely needs to be done. I got so many goodies while I was home :) Unfortunetly that's all I have for now, but I love you all. XOXO,
