Natural beauty
Hello blog world! As of lately I've been making some pretty big changes! One of my many changes is more natural beauty products. Whoever knows me personally knows I have thick, curly, long brown hair. Maintaining it sometimes is a little frustraiting, but worth it. I look at my hair as one of my 4 best features (I was runner up for best hair in 8th grade!) Finding the right product for my hair is sort of a challenge. Every time I buy hair products I usually see tons of different brands, but they are all made for the same four types or hair: thick, curly, straight, or colored hair. What if you have two of the three like me? Then what? I have used so many different kinds of shampoos it's rare that I find one that works out for me. The other day my friend invited me shopping so I went. We left after not finding what we wanted & I decided to make a trip to Target. As I was walking through the beauty products area I came across something that caught my eye. It's a new line from Burt's Bee's called "Gud. The line consists of body mist, lotion, shampoo, & conditioner. There are no parabens, phthlates, or petrochemicals. It is all natural & not tested on animals! Plus it smells amazing! Also, if you scan the QR code on the back of the bottel you can get free Gud products! There are a few different kinds you can choose from: Floral Cherrynova :has cherry blossom & almond milk, Orange petalooza: made with blood orange flower, Vanilla flame: Vanilla and rice milk, & Pearanormal activity (this is the one I choose & it is only carried at Target! The Burt's webiste doesn't even have it!) It's a mix or pear & acai berry . The bottles cost 6.99 each & I just couldn't resist! I went right home & washed my hair & couldn't believe how great my hair smelled, I couldn't stop smelling my hair! I even made my best friend take a sniff! After letting my hair dry I straightened it & I was happy to see that my hair was very soft & shiny. After using my straightner it didn't smell as good, but what can you expect, dang heat! I will continue using this, but from what I can tell so far from the couple of times I've washed my hair I really like it. If anyone has owned this product or goes out & buys it let me know! I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks about it.

The biggest little city in the world
In case you couldn't tell by the title of my blog I Love Reno! I was suppose to move up there last week, but that plan fell through :/ This is the 3rd time I've tried to move, but for some reason god does not want me leaving Henderson ( & trust me, I want to leave!) Maybe I will try again in the Fall. Reno is so beautiful to me! The first time I made a trip to Reno was to visit a guy & I was SO excited to go! My plane ride was only an hour & 20 minutes long & I made a friend on the plane so it went by in a flash. Thankfully I got the window seat so I got to see the desert of Vegas change into the gorgeous tree's of Reno. I couldn't believe how much different it was up there than it is down here. The second I stepped off the plane I loved it. The airport was so much smaller & not as fast paced, & they have a cute little corner with a bear holding a welcome sign. Needless to say it was love at first sight. I love that the tree's actually change color, they have real seasons, it's a cute college town, & I don't know everyone & their mom so it's a nice change. When I'm there I just feel like I can do whatever I want without having to worry about running into people I don't really care for, it's a nice change. Since that trip back in 09 I've been to Reno 5 other times. On one of my trips I got to visit the beautiful Lake Tahoe . Let me just say it is amazing! The Lake is so blue & the rocks surrounding the lake are just huge. The town is awesome too. Sparks has an outlet mall called Legends & it is pretty sweet. My favorite store there would have to be Scheels. It's a outdoorsey store like Bass pro shop. They have a ferris wheel inside, shooting games, wolfpack gear everywhere, a collection of dead stuffed animals on the top level, & when you first walk in there are columns made out of glass that have live fish inside of them ( pretty sweet.) The university & that surrounding area is what really appeals to me. The first time I was in Reno I stayed in these apartments off of N. Sierra street which is right up the street from the university, but I didn't do a lot of sight seeing until my next trip. The university is just breathtaking to me. There are fountains on the grounds, a gazeebo, rustic buildings, the amazing student center, animals, & actual greenary! The business' around the campus are all geared towards the wolfpack & I love that. There's a little coffee shop on Record street called Bibo coffee co. It's a trendy place that's just packed full of college students all of the time plus they have delicious coffee. Every time I go to Reno I stop here because I love to sit & drink my cup of iced coffee complete with a neon pink straw while people watching. ( I love to people watch!) Having friends in Reno is the best because thanks to my friend Katie I got to attend a killer house party at one of the little houses right next to campus. I'm from Las Vegas so I've seen some pretty awesome parties, but this one was crazy! There were so many people & most of them just walked down this hill right into the backyard. Reno is a party town. Seeing as most of the people around downtown Reno are college kids & there isn't all that much to do they party..& they party hard. The only bad part about Reno is the drive. It's 8 hours away from where I live (Las Vegas) , but if you hit the pedal hard & don't stop, you can get there in about 6 hours. I personally like the drive because it's a good way to clear your head, but there is absolutely NOTHING to look at but cactus & dirt until you get to the small towns. I love that I've actually driven the drive enough times that I know my way around pretty well. Now that I've told you about my favorite little city, I will share some pictures!

Happy New Year!
Well hello everyone :) This is my first post of 2012 & I am pretty excited about it. This year is already off to a great start. I spent my New Years Eve with my best friend Alexes. Unlike last year, I actually remember what happened on this night! We're already into the 5th day of this year! I remember when my Aunt Dollie use to tell me once you graduate high school the years fly by. I use to laugh at my aunt and say that wasn't true. Sure enough I feel like the years have been flying by me since that day in June when I graduated from high school. I like so many other people made a list of New Years resolutions, but within these couple of days I have added a few that I need to accomplish for myself. One of my goals is to keep in touch with the family that I have in other states. The once a month phone call or occasional facebook message is not okay with me any longer! One of my cousins moved to Oklahoma to be a nurse, two of my cousins live in Oregon, & my Aunt Johnna's family lives in Naples,Florida. ( I have to give a shout out to my Aunt J who follows my blog avidly, adore her!) Another one of my goals would be to become a more level headed person. I've always been one of those people that will go off the second I hear or see something that I do not like. I blame that on my dad's side of the family seeing as their all hot heads, but that's why I love them so much. That leads me to my last new resolution. For a couple of years now I have let people walk all over me & I have said nothing because I was scared to loose them. This year is the year I finally change that. I have gone off on my share of people, but for the wrong reasons. As I posted above, I am a hot head, but only if you do something that I don't like to the people that matter the most to me. I also found a new quote that I love! In case no one knew, I love quotes! I always seem to find the one's that fit my life perfectly! This is my favorite one at the moment. "Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience." Love that! Anyways, now that I have written these all down, it's time I share my original top 10. Hope you guys all made great goals for this new year & stick to them. I have been following mine pretty well. I cut out soda & I thought that would be my hardest one, but honestly it hasn't been too bad. If anyone wants to share their goals, I would love to see them.
