The biggest little city in the world

In case you couldn't tell by the title of my blog I Love  Reno! I was suppose to move up there last week, but that plan fell through :/ This is the 3rd time I've tried to move, but for some reason god does not want me leaving Henderson ( & trust me, I want to leave!) Maybe I will try again in the Fall. Reno is so beautiful to me! The first time I made a trip to Reno was to visit a guy & I was SO excited to go! My plane ride was only an hour & 20 minutes long & I made a friend on the plane so it went by in a flash. Thankfully I got the window seat so I got to see the desert of Vegas change into the gorgeous tree's of Reno. I couldn't believe how much different it was up there than it is down here. The second I stepped off the plane I loved it. The airport was so much smaller & not as fast paced, & they have a cute little corner with a bear holding a welcome sign. Needless to say it was love at first sight. I love that the tree's actually change color, they have real seasons, it's a cute college town, & I don't know everyone & their mom so it's a nice change. When I'm there I just feel like I can do whatever I want without having to worry about running into people I don't really care for, it's a nice change. Since that trip back in 09 I've been to Reno 5 other times. On one of my trips I got to visit  the beautiful Lake Tahoe . Let me just say it is amazing! The Lake is so blue & the rocks surrounding the lake are just huge. The town is awesome too. Sparks has an outlet mall called Legends & it is pretty sweet. My favorite store there would have to be Scheels. It's a outdoorsey store like Bass pro shop. They have a ferris wheel inside, shooting games, wolfpack gear everywhere, a collection of dead stuffed animals on the top level, & when you first walk in there are columns made out of glass that have live fish inside of them ( pretty sweet.) The university & that surrounding area is what really appeals to me. The first time I was in Reno I stayed in these apartments off of N. Sierra street which is right up the street from the university, but I didn't do a lot of sight seeing until my next trip. The university is just breathtaking to me. There are fountains on the grounds, a gazeebo, rustic buildings, the amazing student center, animals, & actual greenary! The business' around the campus are all geared towards the wolfpack & I love that. There's a little coffee shop on Record street called Bibo coffee co. It's a trendy place that's just packed full of college students all of the time plus they have delicious coffee. Every time I go to Reno I stop here because I love to sit & drink my cup of iced coffee complete with a neon pink straw while people watching. ( I love to people watch!) Having friends in Reno is the best because thanks to my friend Katie I got to attend a killer house party at one of the little houses right next to campus. I'm from Las Vegas so I've seen some pretty awesome parties, but this one was crazy! There were so many people & most of them just walked down this hill right into the backyard. Reno is a party town. Seeing as most of the people around downtown Reno are college kids & there isn't all that much to do they party..& they party hard. The only bad part about Reno is the drive. It's 8 hours away from where I live (Las Vegas) , but if you hit the pedal hard & don't stop, you can get there in about 6 hours. I personally like the drive because it's a good way to clear your head, but there is absolutely NOTHING to look at but cactus & dirt until you get to the small towns. I love that I've actually driven the drive enough times that I know my way around pretty well. Now that I've told you about my favorite little city, I will share some pictures!
