Hi everyone :) So my best friend Alexes & I have recently started doing the hcg drops & as some of you know you can only eat certain kinds of foods. Well Friday night I had invited Alexes & Landan over for some of my dad's famous baked chicken wings & as soon as they had gotten here Landan asked if he could turn on a light so that he could study. Well as soon as Landan found the right light switch Alexes looked over & noticed a huge pile of water. We all thought my dog Lola had peed, but turns out it wasn't poor Lola who caused this puddle. Landan being a handy landy man that he is dashed outside to turn off the water while Alexes & I stayed inside looking for towels to clean up the mess. As soon as we stepped foot into my mom's room we knew something was wrong. There was water EVERYWHERE! The carpet was drenched with water & then we made our way into my mom's bathroom. The water was literally up past my feet! By that time I had made a call to my mom who then called my grandma who then called my uncle & before I knew it everyone was at my house. 2 hours & countless towels later the repair/ clean up crew finally made it to my house. As soon as they got there everyone left except my faithful companion Alexes. Those clean up guys went to town! They got rid of all of my mom's carpet because it was ruined, took off the baseboards in the living room & my mom's room, soaked up all of the water, & finally put up tons of fans to dry everything out. This process lasted until 2:30 in the morning & let me tell you I was pretty exhausted! I don't do well in high stress situations like this & of course this happened the day my mom left to go out of town. I didn't have any water usage from 8 that night until about 12 o'clock the next afternoon. Thankfully I had invited over the Morgan's or else I probably wouldn't have noticed this crazy water leak until the next day seeing as my room & the garage are on the opposite side from my mom. My family is the best when it comes to stressful situations. They all rally together & make a few calls & it's done. One perk to living in a small town, my family again knows everyone & it does come in day (read previous blog post to understand.) Now that my mom is home she's made the right calls & our house will hopefully be back to it's beautiful state once again. Having no carpet in my mom's room & no baseboards in parts of our house is just not cute. Hopefully this sort of situation never happens again! Btw! I have lost 5 pounds on this diet. Honestly though I'm sure anyone eating only 500 calories a day would loose weight. Drops or not.
Xoxo,
S

Friday's Letters
Dear Toby Keith: If I sing Red Solo Cup one more time I may kill myself. I find this song hilarious & all, but once I even hear it I feel like I sing the dang song every single day! It's way too catchy!
Dear Birchbox: This months box is amazing! So much organic stuff plus a sample of Taylor Swifts perfume? I'm literally in heaven! Although I already own the Wonderstruck perfume I will not let this tiny sample go to waste.
Dear blog friends: I got my first comment on one of my blog posts from someone who doesn't follow my blog. Let me tell you that made me so happy! I even called my mom to tell her how excited I was! I'm so glad that people actually read this & like it :) I know my Aunt J reads this, but she already follows my blog & were family so it's different. Also I'm considering putting some sort of inspirational quote on my weekly posts. What do you all think?
Dear Miami Heat: Please get your heads back in the game. We have 3 super stars & a lot of players on this team that are amazing. There is no reason that we can't do well in the playoffs this year. Last year was the first year the new team played together & look how far you went. This year is the year where you need to win! I love you guys to death, but please win a ring this year! I'm tired of all of the Lebron jokes! We all know you're amazing, so let's get a win this year!
Dear Lola: I love you to pieces. I will probably post about you every week that's how much I love you. I've had plenty of animals in my life seeing as I am a huge animal lover, but I've never loved them the way I love you. I hate leaving the house without you because I hate seeing you look so sad when I leave. One day I will get you a seeing eye dog vest & pretend I'm blind so that we're never separated again. Some days I want to kill you, but that's only when you chew my shoes or take all of the stuffing out of your bed.
Until next week! Xoxo,
S

Hello everyone who reads my blog :) I can't believe it's already April 20th! I feel like every month of this year is just flying by. In 3 months & 3 days it will be my birthday (not that I'm counting or anything!) My week has been very eventful thus far! My cousin Bre tried out for the San Diego Charger girls & made it to the last round. Unfortunately she didn't want to continue on, but I know she would have made it if she would have gone back. She is such a beautiful person inside & out & I would say this whether or not she was my cousin. Also this week I got to spend some much needed time with my best friends Corey & Alexes. I feel like some weeks I get so busy that I forget to call or text them, but when I do I always remember why I love them so much. On top of this amazing week I have been helping out my dad & aunt at their small business in Henderson. Seeing as I've grown up in Henderson I seem to always run into people that I know personally or that know my family. As I was filing paper work I looked up to say hello to whoever had walked in & as I turned around there stood my 8th grade health teacher who I get the opportunity to see every once in awhile. Every time I run into someone that I know I can't help but laugh. I feel like my family knows EVERYONE in this town! Being that I have such a huge family I can't get away with anything! Here's a Perfect example! Sunday I decided to skip church thinking that I could get away with it. I was wrong! My dad texted me after my church had let out to ask me why I wasn't there. By this time I'm wondering how my dad knew this piece of information. Turns out he had ran into someone I knew at church that my dad's known for years & he had let the cat out of the bag. Small towns: curse or blessing? Also when I opened my first bank account the teller that helped me out asked me if I knew a man named Maurice. Of course I said yes that's my uncle. Turns out that was her first love & he broke her heart. Only would this sort of thing happen to me & it happens all of the time! My dad & uncle alone probably dated half of Henderson back in the day. Seeing as it was 88 degrees here today already I know I'm in for a long summer of heat, but as weird as this sounds I enjoy the heat. As long as it's under 100 degrees & not humid I can handle it. Now that I'm finished rambling on I've decided to include 1 inspirational thought that I learned myself today. Heavenly father has to put you through some sort of trial in order to make you stronger. He doesn't do anything because he doesn't love you, he does it because of his love for you. If he brought you to it, he'll help you through it. I hope that this thought brings whoever reads my blog a little sense of comfort & happiness.
Much love,
S

Friday's Letters
Dear Lola: I wish you weren't such a bed hog. Sleeping next to you is like sleeping next to a human. Plus you're covered in hair & I already sleep hot enough without you next to me trying to snuggle with me all night!
Dear Blog Readers: If so many of you read this fabulous blog of mine, why do I only have 5 followers? We really need to change this!
Dear Target: I am so excited I get to go shop tomorrow! You always seem to have 1,000 things I don't need, but end up buying. You are in my top 5 favorite stores. Ever.

Friday's Letters
Hi everyone! This week I'm trying something new! I was on a blog that I follow & I noticed that she does this thing every Friday called "Friday Letters." You write about things or people that made a impact on your life during the week. Now that I've explained what this is all about I am going to try & write my letter every Friday. Hope you all like it :)
Dear Target: I love you so much. If I could I would spend all of my money in your store! I really need to cut back on my visits to you, even though I enjoy them so much. Thank you for having that purple nail polish I've been wanting, but really do not need. It is now on my newly polished nails.
Dear Lola: Why are you such a little chicken? Who's dog is hiding on the table from all of the other dogs at the dog park? Mine. That's alright I still love you no matter what. You are the best/sweetest dog. Ever.
Dear H & M: One word: Obsessed! During my fun little trip to Utah I fell back in love with you. Your clothes are reasonably priced, cute, in style, & there's so much to choose from! I do wish you had a location somewhat closer to Henderson though :/ Driving out to either the strip or Town Square will prove to be a pain in the butt for me seeing as I think driving to Eastern is far, but I will still make it a point to visit.
Dear Lord: I feel like every time I pray you really listen to what I say. No matter what it is I feel somehow that my prayer is always answered. You work in amazing ways & I love you so much.
Dear Vegas Wind: Please stop coming around! You knocked over my flower pot & now I'm scared that my growing flowers aren't going to grow any longer :( If this does happen, I will be pretty upset! Plus you're making my allergies go crazy so you can go away at any time!
Dear Monyca: Last night was so much fun! I now remember why you were one of my best friends in high school. Nights like last night make me miss all of my crazy high school adventures that I dragged you along on. We're now hanging out more than once every 2 months.
Well everyone I hoped you enjoyed this :) I hope you all have a fantastic Easter & remember the real reason we celebrate this holiday. I will tell you though I do enjoy my Easter presents. For example my awesome Grandma Marie already gave me a 20 dollar gift card to Target! She must know about my Target addiction!
