Hi everyone :) So my best friend Alexes & I have recently started doing the hcg drops & as some of you know you can only eat certain kinds of foods. Well Friday night I had invited Alexes & Landan over for some of my dad's famous baked chicken wings & as soon as they had gotten here Landan asked if he could turn on a light so that he could study. Well as soon as Landan found the right light switch Alexes looked over & noticed a huge pile of water. We all thought my dog Lola had peed, but turns out it wasn't poor Lola who caused this puddle. Landan being a handy landy man that he is dashed outside to turn off the water while Alexes & I stayed inside looking for towels to clean up the mess. As soon as we stepped foot into my mom's room we knew something was wrong. There was water EVERYWHERE! The carpet was drenched with water & then we made our way into my mom's bathroom. The water was literally up past my feet! By that time I had made a call to my mom who then called my grandma who then called my uncle & before I knew it everyone was at my house. 2 hours & countless towels later the repair/ clean up crew finally made it to my house. As soon as they got there everyone left except my faithful companion Alexes. Those clean up guys went to town! They got rid of all of my mom's carpet because it was ruined, took off the baseboards in the living room & my mom's room, soaked up all of the water, & finally put up tons of fans to dry everything out. This process lasted until 2:30 in the morning & let me tell you I was pretty exhausted! I don't do well in high stress situations like this & of course this happened the day my mom left to go out of town. I didn't have any water usage from 8 that night until about 12 o'clock the next afternoon. Thankfully I had invited over the Morgan's or else I probably wouldn't have noticed this crazy water leak until the next day seeing as my room & the garage are on the opposite side from my mom. My family is the best when it comes to stressful situations. They all rally together & make a few calls & it's done. One perk to living in a small town, my family again knows everyone & it does come in day (read previous blog post to understand.) Now that my mom is home she's made the right calls & our house will hopefully be back to it's beautiful state once again. Having no carpet in my mom's room & no baseboards in parts of our house is just not cute. Hopefully this sort of situation never happens again! Btw! I have lost 5 pounds on this diet. Honestly though I'm sure anyone eating only 500 calories a day would loose weight. Drops or not.
Xoxo,
S
P.s. here are some pictures (my grandma was my model)
Had to save this beauty from the flood
