Living Young, Wild, and Free

Week 3: Done. Crazy huh! I can't believe how fast my days are flying! I'm still getting use to my new life up here, but it's becoming easier. The one thing I need to do is find a new "Corey." Core was the one I called to tag along with me to target, grab lunch with, & whatever else popped into our heads. He was my go to guy for sure. I've made quiet a few friends up here, but everyone is so busy! School is what's taking over every ones lives right now including my own. School 3 days a week & working 4 isn't overwhelming for me though. I do attend a church class every week though & that's helping me meet new people while also keeping me in tune with the man above. When I was little my family & I never really went to church. Now that I'm older I love going & when I have my own family one day (not soon) they will be brought up in church, obviously. Although like my Aunt J always tells me, you don't need to go to church to believe. All you need to do is have faith & pray. Other than that this week has been pretty plain except for the fact that my car battery died! I had gone to Jackson's ( It's like a 711) & I was only inside for 2 minutes, came outside, tried to start my car & nothing happened :( & the worst part was I had forgotten my cell phone! So I had to go inside & ask to borrow the phone & I then made a phone call to my mom. Thankfully while I was waiting outside a man came up who was none other than a mechanic & he then told me my battery was dead. After he told me that a 2nd man came up & offered to jump my car. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers! After my car got jumped it started back up to life & I was on my way. Unfortunately I had 2 classes that day & my car wouldn't start back up. Just my luck. Next morning I was at the auto parts store buying a new 84 dollar battery :( It was a blessing in disguise that I had dog sat/ cat sat the weekend before & had just got paid 50 dollars that same day. The man above is always looking out for me. My good karma always comes in handy :) Wednesday I am moving yet again! This time into my very own place! This means my mom will be driving up to bring me the rest of my things. I'm thrilled that my mom's coming, but honestly I can't wait to make a trip back home. I'm beginning to crave Lotus egg flower soup. No other Chinese food compares in my book. & I of course miss my dogs & family. Face time just isn't the same.So next week be prepared to see me posting pictures of my new place. I am so excited to decorate my very own little place that I don't even know where to start. Plus having pinterest isn't helping any. It makes me want to decorate 1,000 different ways. I've got a plan in my head though so we will see how that all goes.& thanks to my mom I will have cable! I had talked myself into believing I didn't need it, but if I couldn't watch Pretty Little Liars or Glee I would be one sad lady. My mom told me yesterday she went & saw my grandma Marie & my grandma had told her that she was proud of me. She said that she wished that when she was younger she would have had enough guts to leave her small hometown & everyone she loved in order to go somewhere else. As soon as my mom had told me that I knew I had made the right choice. I'm only young once & since I'm not married & I have no kids this is the perfect time. Maybe one day I'll even go on a trip outside the U.S. with Corey. My possibilities are endless! So for now that is what I leave with you blog world. Think of me Wednesday. I will be running up & down stairs with all of my clothes, TV, & little trinkets in hand.
