Searchin For The Thrill of It

Can I just say that I graduated 4 years ago? This is probably one of the craziest things to me. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was at Foothill roaming the hallways. That school will always house some of my craziest, best memories. I remember leaving every day at lunch to go grab food with a group of friends, I remember sitting in my car eating lunch my junior year, being Mr. Ringler's 1st hour aide, taking advantage of the bathroom passes to go see guys, my group of friends, my parking spot. I remember it all. The thing I remember most from high school has got to be my group of friends. We were definitely wild ones. You know they say that however bad you were to your parents when you were younger is how your own kids will be to you. If that's the case I'm NEVER having any! The day I graduated from high school is a day that I will always remember very well. Alexis & I had decided that I'd drive us to the Orleans. Worst idea ever! I'm literally the worst at directions! Never trust me to get you somewhere! Well anyways we got lost! Thankfully we ran into a guy named Marcus that we knew & we followed him down there. After taking just a few pictures with friends Alexis & I went to join our friends. We finally began to walk out into the arena & I got to walk with one of my friends named Matt. Well as I sat down I looked up & saw my entire family waving at me from their box seats at the top of the arena. My mom had pulled a few strings through her work & got them to give up their box for that day. It was amazing to look up & see my baby cousins waving at me non stop. At that time I was dating the same guy & of course we got seated right across from each other. I was also surrounded by people that I had shared a homeroom with since the 6th grade. Graduation was one amazing day! Even though that graduation felt like it dragged on forever I loved every minute of it. I found out later that my family got to enjoy the whole thing on tv's & they got to sit in reclining seats. I'm still jealous. As soon as the whole thing was over I stepped outside & was hounded by family. After the 1,000 of pictures I took I grabbed Alexis & one of her other best friends Kayla & we left. Well as soon as we were leaving I saw a girl that was secretly dating the guy I was seeing at the time & her best friend had said something to me. Well back then like I always say I had the worst temper! So of course I turned around & let the girl have it. Thankfully I've calmed down a lot these past years. No one that has met me within the past year and a half can imagine me getting crazy with anyone. I don't let too much get to me the way it use to, but that side of me is still around, I just never show it. After my own graduation party that night at Johnny Mac's I ventured over to Alexis's house. That's something that I love about our families. We both come from huge families. My mom's side is Italian & my dad's side is Mexican. You get the picture. Alexis's party was awesome. At the end of the night Kyle, Alexis, & I passed out on the couch. That summer was probably one of the best summers of my life. Alexis & I have had our differences, but every memory I have in high school involve her. Whether it be our crazy videos or crying at 2 in the morning at the park over a guy. She has helped me through the hardest times of my life & still does to this day. Today as we were sitting at her apartment getting ready to go out we were laughing over a crazy day we had together back in 2009 right after we graduated. All I'm going to say is that it involved her hiding in my dad's truck at Lotus to her being squashed after a guy jumped through a window & landed on us. I'd love to share some more memories, but I think I'll hold them back. That's the best thing about memories, they never change. No matter how much things have changed since those days you will always have the memories. :) The day I graduated I had my Aunt Dollie say something to me that I shared with my friend Autumn tonight. Once you graduate high school life flies past you. I never believed it, but I truly do now. I can't believe how much has changed in these 4 years, but what's meant to be will be. You've got to live life as if there was no tomorrow. No regrets. Xoxo

Here are a few videos Alexis & I made back in high school. We literally spent all of our senior year in my room goofing around. Enjoy my little throwback <3 :)
